Rental Terms

Eligibility and Required Documents

To rent a vehicle with TCAR, the primary driver must meet the following conditions:

• Be at least 21 years old (23 years old for SUV and Minibus categories).
• Have held a valid driver's license for a minimum of 2 years.
• Present a valid form of identification (ID card or passport).
• Present the original driver's license, as well as an international driving permit for foreign visitors whose license is not written in French or English.

One or more additional drivers can be added to the agreement, provided they meet the same conditions and are declared at the agency before departure.

Deposit and Payment

A credit card pre-authorization is required when picking up the vehicle as a security deposit. It will only be charged if damage is found upon return, and is automatically released within 14 days following an incident-free return.

Mileage and Fuel

All our rates include unlimited mileage at no extra cost, regardless of the duration of the rental.

The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned in the same condition. Failing this, the missing fuel will be billed at the current public price, plus a service fee of 20 TND.

Insurance and Excess

Each rental includes basic insurance covering third-party liability. Two additional levels of protection are offered during booking:

• Protection Plus — excess reduced to 800 TND, windshield protection included.
• All Risks — 0 TND excess, all damage covered including tires and rims.

Modification and Cancellation

Any reservation can be modified or cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time, directly via the confirmation email or by contacting our customer service.

After this period, a fee equivalent to one day's rental may apply. No-shows without prior cancellation will not be refunded.

Late Return and Extension

A grace period of 59 minutes is granted beyond the scheduled return time. After this, each additional hour started will be billed as an extra day at the rate specified in the agreement.

Any rental extension must be requested before the agreement expires, subject to vehicle availability.

Vehicle Usage

The rented vehicle must not, under any circumstances, be used for:

• The commercial transportation of passengers or goods.
• Participating in rallies, races, or sport trials.
• Off-road driving (unpaved roads, tracks, rough terrain).
• Sub-renting or lending the vehicle to an undeclared driver.

Any violation of these terms will lead to the immediate cancellation of insurance coverage, and the driver will assume full and sole liability.

Vehicle Return

A joint vehicle inspection is performed with a TCAR agent at departure and return. The driver is encouraged to report any noted damage or issues before departure.

The vehicle must be returned to the agreed agency, on the date and time scheduled in the contract, in the same condition as when it was picked up (excluding normal wear and tear).
